Barbara Mae Basinger

Barbara Mae Basinger, age 87, of Carleton, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Medilodge of Monroe.

Born on April 13, 1937 in Flat Rock, Michigan, she was the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Grabetz) Kuderik. On August 3, 1957 she married Jack Basinger in Carleton, MI.

She was employed with Frenchtown Convalescent Center as a nurses aide for 17 years until retiring in 1989.

Barbara graduated from Airport High School on June 3, 1954. She was a lifelong member at St. Patrick Catholic Church. She truly will be remembered for her love of baking. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything. She was deeply loved by her family and will be forever missed.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Jeffrey Matthew Basinger, Jeffery Wayne Basinger, sisters, Rosemary Kuderik, Millie Lisic, granddaughter, Rochelle Basinger.

She is survived by her children, Jack Basinger, Jr., Joseph (Chantelle) Basinger, Brenda (David) Caruso, siblings, Joanne Willis, John (Pauline) Kuderik, Frank Kuderik, Joseph (Ruth) Kuderik, grandchildren, Jack (Tiffany) Basinger, III, Joshua (Desiree) Basinger, Brittany Basinger, Joseph (Katie) Basinger, 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 2:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Medilodge of Monroe or any charity that contributes to the research of dementia.
