Peter Bommarito October 01, 1935 - April 29, 2024 PETER BOMMARITO ~~ WONDERFUL and LOVING HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, BROTHER, and FRIEND. Peter Bommarito, age 88, died on Monday, April 29, 2024,surrounded by family. Hewas a long-time resident of Troy, Michigan. Hewas born on October 1, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan to John and Rosaria (Lopiccolo) Bommarito. Peter Bommarito was a draftsperson and engineer by tradewho worked in the automotive industry for over thirty-five years. Hewas a proudmember of the Ford Motor Company family. Peter loved family vacations, especially being near the ocean. He and his wife spentmany happy years on the shores of Marco Island, Florida, and occasional trips to Las Vegas during their retirement years. Sunday dinners were a cherished tradition and a testamentto Pete’s love of family gatherings. While his family willmiss him, they take comfortin knowing he has joined Freda and thatthey are once again inseparable as they were for during their 49 years of marriage. Predeceased Wife: Freda Frances Bommarito –married June 21, 1958. Surviving Daughters: Denise Palmer (Jim) and Karen Felmlee (John). Surviving Son: Michael Bommarito (Connie). Predeceased Son:John Bommarito. Surviving Daughter-in-law: Natalie. Grandchildren:Jennifer, Alex, Elizabeth (Elton),John (Grace),James (fiancée Tori), Taylor (fiancé Taylor), Morgan (Justin), Sydney (Adam), and the late Emily. GreatGrandchild: Charlotte. Also surviving are his sister Margaret,sisters-in-lawDiane and Lynn, brothers-in- lawJimand Joseph andmany loving nieces, nephews, and extended familymembers. Visitation: Sunday, May 5, 2024, from2-8 PM at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy, MI (between Maple and Big Beaver Roads) with a Sharing of Memories Service at 6 PM Funeral Mass: Monday, May 6, 2024 – 10:00 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Parish, 44633 Utica Rd., Utica, Michigan with Reverend Sahaya Arul Alex officiating. Visitation at church begins at 9:30 AM. Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan at 3 PM. Memorial Tributes may be made to: Hospice of Michigan.
