Kristen M. Ecklond, of Brooklyn, MI, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the age of 42. Kristen was a devoted mother, cherished friend, and beloved member of her community. Kristen was born in Southfield, MI, March 5, 1982, the daughter of Barbara and Dr. Mark E. Greyson. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her children, finding joy in every moment spent with them. Kristen was dedicated to their well-being, actively engaging them in sports and outdoor activities, instilling in them a love for adventure and exploration. Kristen found solace and contentment in the tranquility of her home and community. Boating, fishing and watching sports, were among her favorite pastimes, shared with her family in the comfort of their home. Her love for nature and the outdoors brought her immense happiness and brought her closer to those she held dear. An avid traveler, Kristen embarked on countless adventures across the United States in her beloved recreational vehicle, accompanied by her husband, Rob, and their children. Their yearly RV trip to Florida was a cherished tradition, filled with laughter, discovery, and unforgettable memories. Kristen's meticulous planning ensured that every journey was filled with special stops and meaningful experiences, creating lasting bonds and cherished moments for her family. Kristen's vibrant spirit, love for life, and devotion to her family will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who were touched by her presence. Kristen is the loving wife of Robert for 16 years; beloved mother of Axel, Fallon and Enzo; dearest daughter of Barbara Greyson; fondest sister of Courtney Greyson. Sadly, Kristen is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Helena and her father, Dr. Mark E. Greyson. The Ecklond family will receive guests Friday, May 3, 2-6pm at the funeral home. A funeral ceremony celebrating Kristen’s life will be Saturday, May 4, 11 am, at the funeral home. Immediately following the ceremony, a funeral procession will take Kristen to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, where she and her daughter will be laid to rest together. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital for cancer research in Kristen's memory.
