Josephine Violet Acromite, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, passed away February 21, 2024. Beloved wife of the late William C. Acromite. Cherished mom of the late Gary M. Acromite, of Fort Collins, Colorado; Sherry (Robert) Hipp, of Lake Placid, Florida; William J. (Jeri) Acromite, of Evergreen, Colorado; Daniel (Starr) Acromite, of Brighton, Michigan; Michael (Pam) Acromite, M.D., of Pensacola, Florida; and Joanna (David) Griffith, of Cary, North Carolina. Loving grandma of John Hipp, Jennifer Panetta, Alyssa Lenkway, Aryca Parton, Kristi Nellis, Duke Acromite, Collin Acromite, Keaton Acromite, Kayla Acromite-Johnson (Garrett), Will Acromite, Ethan Acromite, Jarron Acromite, Dannica Acromite, Alexa Griffith and Natasha Griffith. Proud Busha of Olivia, Ava, Anthony, Jaxson, Andrew, Mason, Owen, Aubrey, Westlyn, Emberly, Noah and Hunter.

Dear sister of Genevieve Saflin (Joseph), Thomas Stotka (Henrietta), and Leonard Stotka (Priscilla).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael Stotka, Sr., and Anna Repa Stotka; and her siblings, Frances Krivan, Lottie Korchmar, Walter Stotka, Johnny Stotka, Eddie Stotka, Mikey Stotka, Joe Stotka, Victor Stotka, and Bill Stotka.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.

Josephine has always been a loyal friend and a trusted confidant. Her magnetic smile would light up a room and her beauty radiated inside and out. Josephine will always be remembered as a selfless Catholic mother who cherished her life as a gift. She leaves the legacy that "there is no greater love than the love of a mother; other than that of a grandmother or great-grandmother.”

Visitation will take place at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, Josephine will lie in state at Christ The Good Shepherd Catholic Church from 11:30 until the mass begins at 12:00 pm. Entombment will take place immediately after at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
