Patricia Marie Canney

Patricia Marie Canney, 90, of Novi, Michigan died on March 2, 2024. She was born in Hamtramck, Michigan on August 28, 1933 to Mary and Joseph Kostack. Patricia was a graduate of Cass Tech High School in Detroit, Michigan class of 1950, where she played trumpet in the marching band. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Ernest Donald Canney, Jr., parents Mary and Joseph Kostack and great grandson, Zachary Tykoski. Patricia is survived by her children Cindi (Paul Nienhaus), Michael (Stephanie) and Sheryl Nienhaus (Rob/Bob). She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Johnson (Michael), Christopher, and Cheyenne (Ryan Rogale), and great grandsons Brandon Tykoski (Caroline Bennison) and Cody Tykoski. Visitation and a Memorial Service will be held at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia on Monday, March 11 between 3pm and 8pm with a service at 6:30pm. Patricia will be laid to rest with her beloved husband on Tuesday, March 12 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Toys for Tots would be greatly appreciated.
