Marion Ethel Kiras, a beacon of love and strength, was born on May 13, 1934, in Highland Park, Michigan, to the late Ellison and Helena Ayers. With heavy hearts, we announce her peaceful passing on March 14, 2024.

Marion was a devoted wife to her late husband, Edward, for 66 beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was the loving mother of Steven (Jessica), David, and Kathryn (David) Rosemary, whose lives she touched with unwavering affection and guidance.

Her grandchildren, Stephanie (Ryan), Alex (Monica), Andrew, Rebecca (Brandon), Joshua, and Ryan, brought immense joy to her life, as did her great-grandchildren, Samuel and Thomas. Marion found immense pride and happiness in her family, finding the highlight of her day in the simple joy of spending time with them.

Marion's love extended beyond her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her brother, the late Lawrence (Geri), yet held dear her sisters, Eleanor (James) and Dorothy. Marion had a zest for life, enjoying activities like golfing, sports, and field hockey. She cherished telling stories about her children's younger years and found solace in their shared memories.

Her adventurous spirit found fulfillment in traveling, experiencing new cultures, and meeting new people. Marion's warm and welcoming nature ensured that she left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She will lie instate beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 31530 Beechwood (North of Ford/West of Merriman), followed by her funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Marion will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, surrounded by the love and memories she cherished throughout her remarkable life. Though she may have departed this world, Marion's spirit will live on eternally in the hearts of those she touched.
