Marilyn Goers

Marilyn Goers, age 90, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 30, 2024, at her home in White Lake, MI.

Marilyn was born February 19, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Lauretta and Charles Michaels.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her grandson Kevin Simon.  She is the loving wife of nearly 70 years to Clayton; beloved mother of Clayton III (Sandy), Patrick (Amy), Connie Simons (Kevin), Dennis (Donna), Lorrie Frania (Brian) and Ellen Goers; cherished grandmother of 19, great grandmother of 37 and great great grandmother of 1; dearest sister of Joan Valentine (the late Eugene), Susan Cassie, Daniel McCracken (Linda) and the late Charles Michaels and Lauretta Torres (Jim).  Sadly, Marilyn is preceded in death by her mother and father in law, Ellen and Clayton Goers, brother in laws William Goers (Julie) and Howard Goers (Lois).  She will also be loved and missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Goers family will receive friends Wednesday, April 3, 2-8 pm at the funeral home.

A funeral service celebrating Marilyn’s life will be Thursday, April 4, 11 am (gathering beginning at 10 am) at the funeral home. Her son, Rev. Clayton Goers will be officiating the service.

Immediately following her service, a funeral procession will take Marilyn to her final place of rest, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI.  Everyone is invited to join her family in this final tribute.
