Elizabeth E. Maclean, age 92 of Canton, passed away March 9, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Neil for 67 years. Loving mother of Beth McNiven, Denise (Mark) Stevens, John (Carol), Neil Jr. (Terri), Allan (Cheri), and Tina (Andy) Burton. Cherished grandmother of Tyler, Brian, Matthew (Kylee), Kevin, Eric (Michelle), Mark (Shelby), Michaila, Allan, Heather, Amber (Erik) Lundberg, Zachary, and Alexander. Great-grandmother of Alaina, Jason, Ella, Jackson, Carson, and Wesley, who is on his way. Dear sister of the late Gaston (the late Ramona) Wendzinski and the late Joseph (the late Diane) Wendzinski.

Raised in the Catholic faith, Elizabeth attended St. Leo Catholic School in Detroit, where she also married her late husband, Neil, in the same church. She was very devout, especially to the Blessed Virgin Mary, faithfully praying the Rosary. Elizabeth enjoyed playing the piano in her younger years and knitted many creations throughout her life. She loved the beauty of nature and looked forward to watching the birds and other wildlife from outside her window.

Mrs. Maclean will lie in state on Thursday, March 14th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas a’Becket Catholic Church, 555 S. Lilley Rd., Canton. She will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Brownstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Elizabeth’s name are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
