Doris Bennett

Doris Elaine Bennett, age 92 of Lincoln Park passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 13, 2023. Doris was born to Ray and Dorothy Tressler on August 22, 1931, in Johnstown Pennsylvania. Preceded in death by her husband Paul, and her brother Melvin. She is survived by her 5 children Paul Bennett (Betty), Jeffrey Bennett, David Bennett, Rebecca Shook, and Catherine Bennett, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of the many things that Doris enjoyed doing included square dancing with her husband and good friends, bowling, and volunteer work at the hospital as well as the airport as a traveler's aid. Up until 2022 she played cards at the senior center twice a week and enjoyed her small winnings. Despite all of her hobbies the most important thing to Doris was raising her 5 children and spending time with family and friends. Friends and family will be welcomed Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 2-8 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM, at J. L. Peters Funeral Home 3880 Fort Street, Lincoln Park, MI 48146. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church located at 1540 Riverbank Street, Lincoln Park, MI 48146 at 10:00 AM.
