Alice Mary Kean-Powell

Alice Mary Kean-Powell, was born on August 19, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to Oscar and Martha DeBusschere. Alice, who resided in Melvindale, Michigan, passed away on May 4, 2024 at the age of 96. Loving mother of Janet Kean, Linda (the late John) Kurtz, and William Kean and his significant other Tiffany Szuch. Dear sister of MaryAnn Casada. Dearest grandmother of Jeffrey, Staci, Kristi, Matthew, Jason, Allison, Kristen, and Nicholas. Beloved great-grandmother of Jack, Griffin, Mariah, Grace, Maggie, Aaron, Adrian, Ashlyn, Skylar, Madison, Brody, and Adeya. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, William Kean, her second husband, Jack Powell, and her sister Julie Gentry. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 2:00- 8:00 p.m.  with a 6:00 p.m. Rosary Service at the Allen Park Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 5900 Allen Rd. (313) 928-2300. Funeral service Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
