Jerome “Jerry” S. Meredyk

Jerome “Jerry” S. Meredyk, age 82, of Taylor Michigan, passed away February 18, 2023. Beloved husband of Beverly Tithof for 62 beautiful years. Dear father of Michele (Vince) Letizio and Christopher Meredyk (Ginger Shearer, and her daughter Ava Polk). Loving grandfather of Vincent M. (Samantha) Letizio and Nicholas D. Letizio. Proud great grandfather of Madison and Kamryn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Jean Meredyk.

Jerry was an avid sportsman, he loved all sports including hunting and fishing with his son, Chris and family and friends. He was a dedicated family man and a die-hard Detroit sports fan. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy for 10 years. Serving on the USS Oriskany, a navy aircraft carrier, during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrical engineer for Ford Motor Company for 30 years, before retiring. A majority of his career was spent working at the Woodhaven Stamping Plant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Vietnam Veterans of America or Special Olympics of Michigan.

Visitation will take place at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, Allen Park Chapel on Wednesday February 22 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A scripture service will take place at 5:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Constance Catholic Church, 2155 Kinyon, Taylor on Thursday February 23, where Jerry will lay instate from 9:15 am until mass at 10am.
