Shirley M. Dillon Hauser January 23, 1928 – August 26, 2021 Shirley Mae Dillon Hauser, age 93 of Temperance, passed away surrounded by her loving family on August 26, 2021 at Hampton Manor in Dundee. Shirley was born on January 23, 1928 in Syracuse, New York. She was one of three children born to the late John and Josephine (Ranger) Leroux. Shirley graduated from Central Catholic High School of Toledo in 1946. She then made a career at Ford Motor Company in Rawsonville, Michigan. She worked there for 35 years before retiring. In 1947, Shirley married her first husband, Joseph A. Dillon. They raised a family of three children and spent 26 years together before his passing in 1973. Shirley's second marriage was to Alex Sokolowski. They spent 20 years together before his passing. Shirley's final marriage of nine years was to William Hauser. Shirley was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. When she moved to Temperance she became a member at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. In her free time, Shirley enjoyed trying her luck at gambling. Her favorite game to play was Blackjack. Shirley also loved going on cruises with her family. She liked reading, dancing, and could always be found exercising. One thing Shirley was known for was her baking. She was said to bake the best apple pie around. Shirley was also fond of sports. She enjoyed bowling as well as golfing. She even made a hole in one at Giant Oak Golf Course in Temperance. Above all else, Shirley loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. To cherish her memory, Shirley leaves her loving children: Timothy Dillon and Sheila (James Gaynier) Dillon; grandchildren: Connor Dillon, Kelyn (Josh) Eikenberry, Aimee (David) Manikowski, Stephanie (Gary Campbell) Trouten, and Jody (Kerry) Jehnsen; great grandchildren: Alex and Ryan Levenski; sister, Thelma Humphrys; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Shirley is also preceded in death by her son, Patrick Michael Dillon; grandson, Ian Christopher Geiman-Dillon; and sister, Vivian Bugbee. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mass & Visitation have already taken place. Burial of cremated remains will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery on September 22, 2021 at 1 PM.
