Born in Italy, Rose immigrated to Detroit with her parents, Rocco and Guistina Paulucci, at the tender age of five. She was raised in a close-knit Italian immigrant family, speaking both fluent Italian and English. At 17, during a trip back to Italy, Rose met and married her first husband, Nick. Together, they had four sons: Johnny, Nicky, Robbie, and Ricky. Initially settling in Detroit, the family later built a home in Livonia, where Rose embraced and preserved her Italian heritage. Known for her culinary prowess, she delighted in preparing exquisite Italian meals and hosting family gatherings. Her commitment to family and tradition was evident in her dedication to raising her sons in the Catholic faith and ensuring they attended Sunday Mass. Rose's meticulous nature extended beyond her kitchen. She maintained an immaculate home and took great pride in her outdoor space, especially her flowers. Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, and scrapbooking, activities she enjoyed throughout her life. Professionally, Rose was skilled in dictation, shorthand, and typing, which led to her meeting her second husband, George, while working at Ford Motor Company. Both Rose and George retired from Ford, where they received pensions for their dedicated service. Rose was deeply affected by the loss of her beloved sister, Lisa, a devout Catholic who passed away at the young age of 44. Despite this sorrow, Rose remained a pillar of strength and faith for her family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, from 3-9 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, located at 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (between Sheldon and Beck), Plymouth. A Rosary will be said at 7 PM.
