James “Jim” Francis Klima

James "Jim" Francis Klima ( December 03, 1942 - August 01, 2022 ) James Francis Klima, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, in Novi, Michigan. He was born on December 3, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Geoghegan) Klima. Jim had to grow up at a young age, which helped him forge an unbreakable “can do attitude” and an endearing sense of humor. He loved being part of the ROTC program in high school. Although Jim had a desire to fight for our country during the Vietnam conflict, destiny pulled him another direction. He married his high school sweetheart, and the two spent 53 years of marriage together. From this unity, their beloved daughter, Stephanie Antigone Klima, was born. Jim's career was in tool and die, spending most of his work life in quality assurance for aerospace and high-performance automobiles. This fed his habit of working and driving sports cars in his free time. Mr. Jim was known for being a hardworking and unbreakable role model. He was a multi-talented musician who played guitar and sang in bands and solo in bars, events, and local gatherings wherever he went. He has many wonderful "gitfiddle" friends in both Michigan and Tennessee. Jim is survived by his beloved daughter, Antigone, and his granddogs, Squiggles and TazMonkey. Jim's music lives on through his online guitar blog. Memorial tributes are suggested to the Boy Scouts of America.
