Charles “Chuck” Edwin Huston, age 88 of Monroe, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the ProMedica Regional Hospital of Monroe.
Born November 20, 1937 in Monroe. Chuck was the son of the late Ned E. and Jessie (Johnson) Huston. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1955. Chuck continued his education at Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo.
Chuck met and married the love of his life, Ruth M. Kraus on December 27, 1958, at St. John Catholic Church of Monroe. They raised a family of three children.
He was employed at the River Raisin Paper Company for six years before employment as a cost accountant at Ford Motor Company for 33 years. Chuck retired from Ford Motor Company in 1998.
Chuck was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church as well as the Monroe Senior Citizens. In his free time, Chuck enjoyed traveling, golfing, auto racing, attending concerts, and antiquing. Chuck will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of his loved ones.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth; son, Richard (Carla) Huston of Newport; daughter, Cheryl (Michael) Hunter of Mayville; four grandchildren, Derrick Huston, Angela (James) Clauda, Bradley (Jessica) Huston, and Holly (Justin) Romero; and six great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by son, Scott D. Huston; and brother, Mark Huston.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home from 2 to 7 pm. A rosary will conclude services on Thursday starting at 7 pm. A funeral service will be on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Rupp Funeral Home at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial donations in honor of Chuck are suggested to the Humane Society of Monroe.
