John Paul Gelletta, was born on March 28, 1927 in Gallitzin, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Rose Gelletta. John, who resided in Taylor, Michigan, passed away on February 11, 2025 at the age of 97. John is the beloved husband of Shirley Gelletta. Loving father of Gail Bartz (Larry), Cheryl Tostige (David), John Gelletta (Kim), and Kathy Catrinar (Larry). Dearest grandfather of Jamie (Brandt), Jennifer (Kyle), Jonathan (Allison), Michael (Amanda), Brielle, and Aleah. Loving great-grandfather of Garrett, Morgan, Bailey, and Jozie. John was preceded in death by his parents as well as by his siblings Margaret, Joseph, Irene, Ann, Robert, Rosalie and Merle. John is also survived by many other loving family and friends. No visitation will be held at the funeral home. On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, John will be in state at 10:00 a.m. with an 11:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection to follow at St. Alfred Catholic Church, 9350 S. Telegraph Road, Taylor.
