Helen Margaret Billy nee Sayferth

Age 98. Helen was born in Detroit, MI and graduated from St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish in Detroit. Helen worked at Square D Electric in the clerical department until 1945 when she married George T. Billy that September. They were married for almost 42 years when George passed away on January 26, 1987.

Helen is survived by her brother Ray Seyferth and 12 nieces and nephews along with 4 daughters, Diane (Don) Smith, Janice (Ray) Kleefisch, Barbara (Lenny) Maser, and Carol (Don) Scobel. Grandchildren, Nicole, Robb, Eric, Michael, Kelly, Mollie, Angie, Mandy, Rachel, and Andrea. Great grandchildren Katina, Brandon, Bryce, Lauryn, Cameron, Cloe, Blake, Mackenna, Ashtyn, Ava, Brook, Brayden, Lauren, Benjamin, Peyton, Cru, Camryn, and Ariel, and great great grandchildren Lexis and Linda. Helen was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Cecelia Seyferth (Bretz) and brothers Roy, Ralph, and Francis.

Helen was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish from its inception in 1947 and was a very active member in the Women of Good Shepherd organization. She also loved cards (pinochle), bingo, and scrabble, and her many friends from several clubs in the area.

Visitation Tuesday April 12, 2022, 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at the funeral home. Instate Wednesday April 13, 2022, 11:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
